Pacacha Family History

The Pacacha Family of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, PA originated in Brzeziny, Poland.  Carl Pacacha and his brothers have compiled an account of their parents' lives here in America as a tribute to their 70th Wedding Anniversary in 1983.

Expanding the history of the Pacacha family with my grandfather, Walter Pacacha, who moved here to work with the Civilian Conservation Corps in Sullivan County.  He met his wife, Esther V. Smithgall while on this assignment.  They were married in LaPorte, Sullivan County in 1936.  Walter settled in Williamsport had they had sons: Bob, Fred and Jerry.
